Contest Overview

JV-Campus is an international online education platform that broadcasts from Japan to the world. We are inviting submissions for the design of a digital badge to be issued by the JV-Campus Tsukuba University Box. A digital badge is a digital certificate of completion that can be used in email signatures, attached to business cards, and shared on social media. We look forward to seeing designs that suitably represent the learning experience at the University of Tsukuba!

Please read these application guidelines carefully before entering the contest. By submitting your entry, you agree to these guidelines. Entries that violate or may violate these guidelines may be disqualified at the discretion of the organizers. These guidelines may be updated without notice.

 

Entry Guidelines

Contest Theme

Digital Badge: We are seeking design submissions for the completion certificate digital badges issued within JV-Campus by the University of Tsukuba.

Eligibility

• Current students, alumni, and faculty/staff of Tsukuba University (individuals or groups).
• Multiple submissions are allowed.

• The design must clearly indicate that the badge is issued by the University of Tsukuba.
• Please ensure there is a space to insert the name of the course or lecture (about 40 characters in half-width).
• For now, use "JV-Campus Digital Badge Design Contest" as a placeholder.
• In actual usage, it will contain text such as “Details on XXXXX” or “XXXXX overview”.
• Image size: 400x400px
• Format: PNG

 

Awards

• Grand Prize and several Excellence Awards will be presented.
• Top winning designs will be used as digital badges issued by Tsukuba University on JV-Campus. Please note that minor adjustments to the design may be made for actual use.
• The Grand Prize design will be made into a pin badge and given as a gift!
• Grand Prize and winning entries will be featured on our website and the official University of Tsukuba website.

 

Usage of Tsukuba University Emblem, Logo, Slogan

When incorporating Tsukuba University's emblem, logo, or slogan into the digital badge design, specific guidelines must be followed. For detailed materials or inquiries, please contact us.

 

Submission Process

1. Please provide your contact information via the application form.
2. In the form, the following on your design will be also requested:
   • Image file (PNG format)
   • list of fonts used
3. After the submission, a confirmation email will be sent to you from the office within a few days.
4. Please ensure you can receive emails from < jvc-renkei[a]un.tsukuba.ac.jp>.

Judging and Results Announcement

After the submission deadline, an initial screening will be conducted, and the selected entries will be publicly displayed on the web. During the public display period, judges will evaluate the entries, and there will be a public web vote to determine the winning designs. Please note that we cannot respond to individual inquiries about the judging process. The results and awards will be announced at the "Study with me!" event venue during the SOHO Festival.

 

Rights Attribution

The copyright of the submitted badge designs belongs to the creators. However, the organizers, the Office of International Online Education at University of Tsukuba may use the badge design images for free for learning certification within the JV-Campus Tsukuba Box and for the promotion of JV-Campus and Tsukuba University. Additionally, the designs may be partially edited or modified, as long as the original intent is not compromised, for these purposes.

 

Handling of Personal Information

• The personal information you have submitted will be managed by the Office of International Online Education at University of Tsukuba in accordance with the Tsukuba University Personal Information Protection Management Regulations, and will only be used to the extent necessary for the purpose of communication related to this contest.
• Except when required by law or other regulations, disclosure or provision to third parties without the individual's consent will not be conducted.

 

Other Important Notes

• Submitted designs must be original creations specifically conceived for the Tsukuba University Individual Box, unpublished, and must not infringe on third-party copyrights or trademarks.
• The responsibility for any infringement of others' copyrights or portrait rights lies with the creator, and the organizers assume no responsibility.
• Even after the judging, if the organizers determine that there has been a violation of the entry conditions or other important notes, the award may be revoked.
